Talent Management: What is it?

Talent management goes far beyond finding the key person to drive your company forward.

Talent management is much more than traditional human resources. Talent management involves, among many things, identifying the key talents that will drive your company's success. It also involves ensuring that these talents are well-positioned, nurtured, and retained for your company. Talent management initially focused primarily on senior management, but companies have gradually realized that these talents should not be wasted.

You may wonder why, but the answer is very easy:

These talents and people are vital to the organization's success. TDM cannot be solely the responsibility of human resources departments. HR's objective is to recruit, review, and assign employees throughout the company. Meanwhile, TDM starts at the top: from the CEO, through senior management, middle management, and the workforce.

Many believe that the primary role of a company's CEO has been to be a GDT.

The more you nurture your employees and identify each one's talents, the more successful your company will be.
